Terms, Conditions, and helpful hints.

as i edit this i will add some terms and conditions when i come
up with them.
OK:
Terms of use for the general section (and for the rest of the
forum as well):
Be polite: you can complain about a game or company all you like
but i will not tolerate any kind of personal attacks
No political talk: i found that it was rampant on QB64.net and
desperately wanted to do something about it: here is my answer!
No libel: that's legalese for no slander on the forum.
No illegal content: i believe that speaks for itself
No obscenities: no swearing. we are trying to appeal to all
audiences here.
No Ads: no advertising. you cannot start a topic just to promote
a company or website. note that this does not include something
of general interest to the forum goers such as an event related
to gaming, technology, etc. or the upcoming release of a new
game. note that if i or a moderator deems any content in
violation of these terms we reserve the right to modify/delete
any post(s) at our discretion. if you have a question regarding
these terms please message me or a moderator.
No Trolling: i will not tolerate trolls. there are actually two
meaning to trolling. one is rude and mean, the other is lurking
around and trying to find relevant information. the latter is
the only trolling i tolerate.
NOTE: if you start a topic here that belongs somewhere else, it
will be moved to the correct board and if you start a topic
somewhere else that belongs here it will be moved. you will not
be penalized for the topic being in the wrong area as long as
you don't complain about where it has been put unless you
honestly think it should be somewhere else.
also note that if a thread begins to get majorly off topic (ie,
talking about one thing when it was started for a completely
different purpose) the thread will be split (the OT[off topic]
part moved to it's own thread) and as long as you do not
continue to post in the thread it was split from there will be
no penalties for that either. i might be going a bit overboard
here but i am just trying to combat the plagues of unnecessary
content rampant on so many forums with a little bit of order.
this might just seem more restrictive because i am posting it in
a topic where people might read it, rather than in a scrolling
box that people can just check when they sign up and not read.
Please no: forum games: ie: "rate the avatar/sig above you"
"destroy the person who you don't like who posted in this
thread" etc.
if we can find a way to include an arcade (pac-man, donkey
kongs, mario bros, frogger, tetris, etc.) we will do so.
one more thing, when posting code in projects, please put it in
the correct sub board
