Puzzle about Deathless in C6/1.5d

Anyone knows the specific way to pass Puzzle 'Deathless' in
Chapter 6???
I've completed several times but still can't find the relations.
And now i'm stuck in this place in 1.5d/Extreme.
Btw, is there any preconditions to get ''Shard of Shadow"???
I've got it once when complete everything except Epic Boss
before killing Xada, and then "Shard of Shadow" is on the
gound with 3 heros. But never get it before. All these are in
v1.5a.

I get puzzled by this Puzzle. I even start a Child-Play game and
open the map to see what's their relations. But i just
find 'Mortal" can be killed. And when i kill a "Deathless", the
former "Deathless" killed resurrect. So, again and again.
I get angry about it.

OK~I return to 1.5d/Extreme and continue with my killing
business. Finally i finish all these guys, though i still not
quite
sure about the process. What i did is never put a finger on
"Mortal" guys before killing all "Deathless" like before. I
don't
know whether this is right?? Did someone know sth about this
Puzzle?

COLOR IS THE THING!
You have to kill 2 enimies with the same color, if you kill Blue
one then kill Red one the Blue one will resurrect, that's all!

Oh, it's the color. I do remember they had several different
color in older version like alpha 3.3a. But now in 1.5d/Extreme
they are all in grey and orange.

There should be 2x same color Mortals always. Are they really
all now orange and grey now?

no i dont have. works properly all the time. in my games the
colours are: red,blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, grey and
black. i always use fradz with invisible strike to search the
colours of the same kind and then i go on to the next.. works
everytime
