Competition #20

---------------------------------------------------------
Competition Idea
The idea of this competition is to create a puzzle from
Elevators and ground buttons(those floating stones at the
pictures). You must use the elevators or ground buttons in your
puzzle. You can decide how many elevators and puzzles you have.
The puzzle will be added to chapter 6.
PICTURES:

MAP:

Hints
- The pictures and the map are just examples.
- Maximum of three stages for each eleveator can be added and I
cannot change that.
- Ground buttons have only two stages: shining and not shining.
I cannot change that.
- You can reduce or increase the amount of elevators. In that
picture there's 9x9 stones.
- Try not to make the puzzle too hard for me to create or I have
to rely on other map makers.
- How can the player change their height?
- How the player can complete this puzzle?
- Try to make the puzzle hard, but not impossible.
- Less elevators and ground buttons, easier for me.
- You can only use ground buttons too if you don't like espers.
- I have also attached the map to here if somebody want to look
at it.
- You can also create the puzzle by yourself if you have time in
the world editor.
Competition Rules
- The idea have to be yours.
- You can make unlimited amount of entries.
- I will have all the rights to edit the rules all the time(I
will do it correctly and I will be fair for everyone).
Competition Prizes
The winner of this competition will have his or her name to Hall
Of Fame and will be credited as "Competition Winners" and "Idea
Giver". If you have one more than once you'll be credited
automatically as "Great Idea Giver". Also any other ideas that
I'll use will be credited as "Idea Giver".
Judging
I'm the only one who will judge the winner of the competition. I
will judge all entries. The amount of entries you post will not
decrease your chance to win in any way. However, if there are a
lot of entries or horrible entries, I'll have the right to kick
some of them away in order to make the final judge easier for
me.
Deadline
The competition begins immediately and conclude Sunday
23/1/2011.
Final Words
Good luck, may the best idea win. If you have questions,
ask.

Um.... actually I am not intending on joining this competition,
as creating puzzle is one of the thing that I don't know what to
make most, but seeing that no one joined the competition, I
guess I just join the competition and post my idea. So here
goes:
First level: The first level is just simple, from time to
time, some of the platform will rise and some of the platform
will sink, and to get to the second level, you will need to
reach or step on a shining platform that is located at the end
of the puzzle.
Second level: In the second level, it is just the same as the
first level, but instead of just the rising and sinking
platform, most of the platform has color on them, and different
color has different effect when the unit step on them. For
example, bright red which symbolizes fire, if stepped on the
bright red colored platform it will deal heavy fire damage to
the unit standing on it (preferably 400-800). Light blue which
symbolizes ice, will freeze the unit in place completely until
the end of the level, which forces player to use his other hero
to continue and complete the puzzle, for example, player uses
Phodom to attempt to complete the puzzle, but stepped on a blue
platform and is frozen in place, making Phodom useless now and
forces to use Fradz or Galeoth to attempt to complete the
puzzle.
Third and final level (optional): As I think this part might be
impossible to complete, so it is just optional. The point is, it
is just the same as level two, where some of the platform rises
and some of them sink with most of the platform colored with
each color do different effect on the unit that step on it, but
it is a race. You will be choosing only one hero to use to
complete this level, which the selected hero will then race
against an enemy unit to reach to the shining platform at the
end.
Well, that's it my entry for the competition, sorry if it is
hard to understand, as I don't know how to explain it myself.

Hmm... It seems like always when I host a puzzle or a mini-game
contest everything just dies. I shouldn't be hosting such
contents. :P
So, should we just "abandon" this contest or make one week more
time? I could also do a new contest at the same time with
something easier.

First of all, suggesting a puzzle is hard.
Just abandon this and host another competition.

Yeah, that's fine.
I'll take Divine Seal's suggestion to use and think if I can
plan the idea further.
