What do you think about Alchemist profession and do you use it?
How do you use it? Or do you use it at all?

No. Well, it would be okay to have a couple of bonus ability
points, but brewing all these subpotions seems boring. I only do
it for a quest in chapter 7.

I never use it, except for the Medicine quest in chapter 7. Same
       reason as goku94.

I like the Alchemist profession, but I often forget to use it. I
gather the flowers to have a 'complete' chapter, not to get
potions. I remember in one playthrough I totally forgot to use
my Alchemist profession until Chapter 7, and by that time I had
so many flowers that my heroes became super powerful. Not
imbalanced, but a whole lot more powerful than before. Actually,
I think it IS good to wait until Chapter 7 to use it, because
you don't have to use your flowers to get a higher alchemy
level. You can just pay the Master Alchemist flowers from the
Garden to get a higher level, and use all of your flowers on
       stat raising potions.

Yes i do use it. its quite useful at the end actually. I believe
its quite useful to compliment the magic damage strategy.
       Here's what i do:
       - gather all the flowers from each chapter up till 7.
       - in chapter 7, spend enough money going to the magic garden to
get up to about level 25 of alchemy (i think thats the right
       level, forgetting at the moment).
       - when you reach chapter 8 you should have about 30 of each of
the 4 flowers (if you managed to get all the flowers in every
       chapter).
       - The one that starts with 'A' is useless to me. all the others
are needed (i think 2 of each) to make the potion that gives you
100 magic damage. the requisite flask needed to make this potion
is also available in chapter 8. I use up all my flowers making
       just this potion.
       - the result? counting the flowers from chapter 8 as well you
should be able to enough potions to allocate about 1.5 - 2k
magic damage any way you see fit. In the save game i have, i
gave it all to fradz for the heck of it but I would generally
give all the potions to either Phodom or Galeoth or distribute
       equally between them.
1.5k - 2k magic damage is a LOT, equivalent to 3-4 greater magic
balls especially given how much you can amplify their damage
with % enhancing items at the end. IMHO, this potion trumps any
stats you might get from the other recipes.
However, while i planned to use the potions this way from the
start, i have to admit, the alchemy profession remains fairly
negligible until chapter 7. If you want the profession to have a
more proactive role, it might be better to introduce optional
quests and suitable rewards in the earlier chapters (1-3)
wherein you're required to use alchemy to complete them. For
example, in chapter 1, a farmer could have been poisoned by the
spiders in the south part of the map. you need to kill the
broodmother who will drop a certain item that you need to
synthesize in a alchemy recipe to cure the farmer?
Of course, i would recommend that you litter the chapters with
more flowers then if you're going to be required to use them in
quests or my magic dmg potion strat will get watered down :P.

Hello everyone and thank you for the feedback.
It seems like this profession isn't used much, at least in the
early chapters. Well, I can't say if it good or bad thing. I
like that there are strategies to use different elements
including this profession. Now it seems everyone just uses the
       magic damage.
       Are the stats balanced?
Maybe I should decrease the magic damage from 100 to 50?
And maybe I should create a few optional quests about the
       professionals to early chapters?

Hey...i use it on the early chapters. I'd use it more, but there
aren't that many flowers(or herbs, i don't know what are those).
About the quests, yes, perphaps a dig quest for Phodom, a
alchemy quest for Galeoth and a "steal" quest for Fradz...or
something like that would be good.
Yet I have to agree, the alchemy is not that useful if you
compare if the other two that are needed to get some (very) good
       and useful items.

Personally, I only use it for an optional quest in Chapter 7 and
after that, to give extra stat points to my heroes :)

well, i use it because "its there", but its not alot of fun or
anything. digging is awsome, alchemy is more of a bother than
       cool.
you should probably remove all of those potions, like really,
all of them except health/mana/restore, and remove the
alchemy-level requirement and then do the following:
instead of having those stupid potions that give some minor
stats, lets have BIG potions that kick ass. potions where you
need 10 or more flowers for and where bottles for them cost a
shitton of gold (say 2000 gold for a square) and those potions
have item-classes too, like epic potion, legendary and shit.
potions that give you permanent increase of stats that actually
matter, like attackspeed, magic resist, armor, crit damage, crit
chance, LUCK or anything. or even multiple effects. make potions
like items, just you can consume them and ofcourse they aint
THAT strong, but make them significant.
and make the recipies for those potions be hard to acquire, like
from bosses or big quests or expensive auctionhousing.
do you get the idea? make potions something the players actually
WANT to have, and they want it as soon as possible. make them be
like "hell yeah, potion of malice, now my fradz kicks AAAASSSSS"
       and stuff.
oh yes, and remove alchemy level completely. as long as you have
the recipie and the flowers, you shouldnt need the "Level" for
it. it sucks and just ruins the fun of using it. this is no
       MMORPG.

I would suggest for every chapter to have a profession-related
optional quest, be it digging for Phodom, stealing for Fradz and
alchemy for Galeoth. That will allow players to use professions,
especially alchemy earlier on in the game. Also, you can add
more potions that increases attack speed, critical damage,
armor, evasion, movement speed, steal chance, gold bonus, exp
bonus etc. You can also add potions that gives temporary magic
immunity, physical immunity, invulnerability, or even
transformation potions (into Birgitta? LOL or other
people/creatures), or even potions to make a hero small/big. And
the recipes need not be bought always, can be stolen/dropped
from mini bosses, bosses, elite and epic bosses. This increases
variety of potions to use and recipes to obtain.
