Trip to Japan - Need tips

Hey.
I'll travel to Japan somewhere near the New Year. I'm searching
for tips. Do you have any? Have you been there already? Do you
live there? Any tips are welcome.
Also, if anyone here is from Japan, maybe you could show us
little the country or the town you live in. I'm coming with a
long time friend and we're honest and positive guys.

Ah man...i'm jealous. Japan's New Year is incredible...
I can't give you any tips, but i wish you a very good time(and i
wish a 800 words description about what you've done there [-)).

Search up about their culture (to not to insult them by
acting... Europeanish) as well as possible tourist scams that
occur there. If you're so "open" to accept anyone to "show you
some places", you'd be a perfect target (plus you're a
first-timer).
The scams aren't surreal; I reckon I almost got scammed while
traveling abroad once (not in Japan, never been to there, but
the point is they exist).
