New Campaign Spells

I decided to make some abilities for the campaign and post them
in this thread. They are mostly my ideas but instead of posting
and waiting for Aero to make them (which takes forever) I
decided to make them myself. Everyone can freely post your
feedback and discussions about them here.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These spells aren't MUI so please wait until the
spell has finished before casting again.

I just made this ability as an improvement of the ol' Teleport
Strike. Damage output is based completely on Fradz's attack
damage. While using this ability Fradz can bash, land critical
hits and life-steal freely. This skill has officially gone
Platinum. Description:
Teleport Strike (Imported)
An upgraded version of Flash Strike ability. This time Fradz
uses everything he can offer to become as fast as lightning
itself, making him untouchable and able to hit nearby enemy
units 10 times at an extreme speed. Grant bonus damage equals to
abilvl*100+AGI*3.

And here is an ability made by me. It is my winning entry for
Competition #30 yet Aero never gets down to making it so I
decided to take matters into my own hands. Description:
Thunder Blade (Imported)
Every X seconds Fradz's swords are charged with lightning
energy. The next attack is enhanced with bonus damage, deals
critical damage and purges the target for 5 seconds,
immobilizing it during the first 2 seconds and slowing it by a
factor of 5. Purged units will slowly regain their movement
speed over the next 3 seconds. Calc: Bonus Damage: 0.4*AGI.
Critical Rate: 1.00+0.15*abilvl. Cooldown: 31.25-0.25*abilvl.

Description:
Area Attack (Replaced by Blazing Fury)
By bending the Fire Element to his will, Phodom has a 10% chance
on attack to imbue his hammer with destructive flames that add
extra attack damage. Phodom then unleashes the fiery fury upon
his foes in one powerful blow, dealing damage to all targets
within 200 AoE. Calc: Bonus Damage: abilvl*25+STR*5.

This is an upgrade of Fradz' Lightning Storm. The slow now works
properly and the spell now has a sucking effect that draws
enemies closer and closer to the center while spinning. This new
effect allows 'grouping' the mobs and destroying them with AoE
spells. United they fall! Description:
Lightning Storm (Imported)
Fradz spins around causing a lightning storm of destructive
force, damaging and slowing enemies by 33% for the following 5
seconds. Like a tornado, he sucks nearby enemies closer and
closer to the center. Grant Magic Immunity while spinning.

This is the ability that I and Aero has agreed to make. It will
be the 'replacement' of Avatar because Aero decided to nerf it.
I am sad because from now on chapter 1 will be much, much
harder. This skill has officially gone Platinum. Description:
Blazing Fury (Imported)
By bending the Fire Element to his will, Phodom imbues his
hammer with destructive flames that add extra attack damage.
Phodom then unleashes the fiery fury upon his foes, dealing
damage to all targets within 200 AoE with each attack. Lasts 10
seconds. Calc: Bonus Damage: abilvl*25+STR*5. 30 seconds
cooldown.

Here is the old Phoenix Combo with a great improvement. Now it
works based on attack damage rather than triggered damage.
Phodom can bash, land critical hits and life steal freely. This
skill has officially gone Diamond. Description:
Phoenix Combo (Modified and imported)
Great force and bombardment from his hammer sends Phodom and his
target slowly to the sky while hitting the foe rapidly up to 12
times. Phodom then ends the combo with a tremendous slam hurling
the target back to the ground triggering a large explosion that
deals damage to the target and nearby enemies. Grant Bonus
Damage during the spell's duration. Calc: Bonus Damage: STRx3.

An ability made based on one of Aero's old map. Quite a cool
ability. This skill has officially gone Platinum. Description:
Flash Strike (Rejected)
Fradz focuses his energy to become as fast as lightning itself,
allowing him to attack a unit 10 times continuously while
remaining untouchable. Grant bonus damage equals to
abilvl*100+AGI*3.

An ability made based on Aero's idea. This spell is promised to
be present in 1.8 since it is actually Aero's original
intention, I just made it for him. Description:
Electrostatic Shockwaves (Imported)
Casts two powerful lightning shockwaves towards a targeted enemy
unit. The further away the target is, the more damage is dealt.
If another enemy comes into the line of fire of the missile, it
will take the hit instead.

The old Shock Circle Special Ver. with a delay, slower
projectile speed and a better test map. Description:
Shock Circle Super Ver. (Merged with Aero's own version)
Fradz casts 5 lightning orbs out of him in every direction.
After 2 seconds, the orbs start following the target and will
explode upon contact, dealing damage to it and stun nearby
enemies for 1 second. If the target is dead the remaining orbs
will seek out new targets for annihilation.

A spell based on Aero's idea. This spell is really fun to play
around with, but please remember the rule: The spell has to be
finished before one can start casting again. Description:
Fiery Ball (Imported)
Phodom throws a fiery ball to a targeted location damaging
enemies. The ball then bounces back to Phodom healing him.

Fiery Ball with a parabolic arc to create the feeling that
Phodom 'bombards' the target location rather than sending a
projectile straight to it. Made upon Aero's request.
Fiery Ball Special Ver.
Phodom throws a fiery ball to a targeted location damaging
enemies. The ball bounces back to Phodom healing him.

Shock Circle with a delay, homing projectiles, better missile
speed, more eye candy and especially a twist: When the orbs
finished creating a 'pentagon' around Fradz units near the orbs
will be damaged. Also the orbs have a 5 second expiration timer,
if they fail to reach the target within 5 seconds they will
explode without dealing damage. Made upon Aero's request.
Shock Circle Aero Ver.
Fradz casts 5 lightning orbs out of him in every direction. The
orbs deal damage to nearby enemies when they are 400 units away
from the caster. After 2 seconds, the orbs start following the
target and will explode upon contact, dealing damage to it and
stun nearby enemies for 1 second. If the target is dead the
remaining orbs will seek out new targets for annihilation.

Scrapped Spells

An ability made based on Aero's idea. I just made it for him.
Description:
Shock Circle (Scrapped)
Fradz summons 5 lightning balls around him. After two seconds,
these balls will start to follow the targeted enemy unit. If a
ball touches an enemy, it explodes dealing damage and stunning
enemies around for 2 seconds.

Pretty much a twisted version of the first spell. A homing
effect and an expanding effect are added to the original spell
together [s]but the power of the spell is nerfed to maintain
balance[/s]. Description:

orbs automatically follow the target and explode upon contact,
dealing damage to it and stun nearby enemies for 1 second. If

Phoenix Combo of Doom has officially gone Diamond! The newest
version is optimized and bug-free. All eye candy has been
improved and the duration of the spell has been reduced to
minimal. Newest description:
Phoenix Combo of Doom (Scrapped)
Phodom uses a devastating technique to obliterate his foe
completely. Initiating with a powerful strike sending the target
flying followed by up to 12 continuous attacks, each causes
Phodom and the target to rise higher. Phodom finally ends the
combo with a tremendous slam hurling the target back to its
original position on the ground triggering an atomic explosion
that deals damage to all nearby enemies. Grant Bonus Damage
during the spell's duration. Calc: Bonus Damage: STRx3;
Explosion Damage: Unspecified, currently 500 damage.

New version of Phoenix Combo of Doom has been released. Due to
the recent controversy I have made some significant
modifications to the ability itself. Phodom no longer teleports,
now he will 'jump' instead.
Phoenix Combo of Doom Jumping Version (Scrapped)
Phodom uses a devastating technique to obliterate his foe
completely. Initiating with a powerful strike sending the target
flying followed by up to 12 continuous attacks, each causes
Phodom and the target to rise higher. Phodom finally ends the
combo with a tremendous slam hurling the target back to its
original position on the ground triggering an atomic explosion
that deals damage to all nearby enemies. Grant Bonus Damage

If you can suggest an idea that is within my range of skill, I
will do it for you. Or you can find a campaign's spell and
upgrade it in your own image. If possible I will create it.

I think these new improvements are nice. Only thing is, I'd
appreciate categories for ones I know aren't classified as
ultimate such as Thunder Blade, Area Attack and Blazing Fury. I
especially like the new animation for teleport strike as it now
does not look like Fradz is humping the enemy to death.
Also, I think Blazing Fury or Area Attack's effect should be at
least slightly different. They're essentially the same spell.
While the effect may be good it's just basically a repeat for
either spell. I think Aero said something along the same lines,
and especially if they were in the same category.
Regarding the "Of doom" ultimate. The animation is nice and more
impressive then the current one but both Aero and I seem to
think it does not really "blend" with what Phodom is. Phodom is
not considered a character that can perform those actions
displayed in that spell. That's the only unfortunate part of it.
Other than that, I think it's refreshing to see some new
abilities and updates on current ones, tweaking may be needed
though as I said above.

My opinions:
Teleport Strike: Hum...indeed this change is very good and
useful, it isn't that important, yet a good improvement.
Thunder Blade: Like I've said before, I think this ability is
awesome(it surely would be in my choice of skills)
Area Attack: Already said before
Lighting Storm: Really liked this improvement, but isn't the
ability a little overpowered now? Well, maybe not.
Blazing Fury: I think it's a great skill, awesome.
Phoenix Combo of Doom: Epic, do i need to say more?

Phoenix Combo has a big problem: it clashes with the story.
Phodom simply cannot teleport or move that fast to behind. Only
Fradz would be able to do that from the three characters. So a
change must be done and here are few suggestions:
- Make the ability for Fradz
- Or do a change where Phodom doesn't teleport

I would put some kind of magic there to replace the
teleport(smth to push and grab the enemy "fire like" spell), but
actually i don't have a idea.

Well no...there's limits to what you can achieve here. Phodom
randomly gaining instant teleportation to his enemies from the
ground and to the air then back to the ground again? Not exactly
the thing that blends the best here since even in the Chapter 1
chapter boss cinematic Phodom's speed and reactions are tested.
You can clearly see Phodom is depicted as slow (even though he
does get slightly faster over the campaign later seen in chapter
6).
Now this would make much more sense if some sort of magic were
involved like Shin suggested. I'm not sure exactly what either
though but as is now, it just doesn't seem like something Phodom
would do even after attaining it from doing a lot of hard work.
It looks like a Fradz move to be honest.
Perhaps some kind of fire chains (ah, I've been playing too much
Diablo 3, fire chains are scary). Maybe Phodom can attach some
kind of magic to both him and the enemy so when the enemy goes
up in the air, he can just follow the trail of fire magic to get
there faster? I'm confusing myself.
Here's a different idea, what if Phodom uses some kind of fire
magic to jump really high to his enemy? Maybe I shouldn't be
posting stuff after being up for 18 hours...

I think you got it wrong. Aero said that only Blazing Fury will
make it into the campaign and replace Avatar. Area Attack is
here only for the art.

Hate to disappoint you guys but I won't change the teleport.
Making the target moving up and down is already complicated
enough. I have zero inspiration to make Phodom moving together
with the target. It makes the spell even more complicated and,
as someone here once said, the more complicated something is the
more likely it will bug (although my spell is pretty much
flawless currently ;D )
And by the way I just updated my Phoenix Combo of Doom, now both
Phodom and the target's locations won't change before and after
the spell.

Of course it was just a suggestion, i know nothing about how to
make skills and others. Yet maybe if you put some kind of
animation that would suggest that phodom used some kind of spell
to jump very highly and quickly(some kind of explosion, like
Killa already said).
Well, i don't think the skill is bad(it's really awesome), it's
just this history contradiction thing.
