       Redirection for new members

       Hi
I find strange that there are some people known to the rest of
the forum , yet didn't introduced yet. After they gain some time,
they decide to introduce just because they noticed the number of
       other people who did so.
In order to avoid that , i need aero or xarwin to create a
system @ the site.So after a member registered , when he logs in
for the FIRST time , he will be automaticly redirected to "start
a new topic" on Introduce.I request this , because ...maybe that
topic isn't getting in people's eyes

I support this idea. It is noticed that members who introduced
tend to be more active. Others are mainly
       reply-less-than-ten-times-then-gone-forever.

But they just could "cancel" the "auto intro" or whatever this
possible system is called, of course unless there's a rule or
smth that makes you introduce yourself before posting another
       thing in the forum.
I liked the idea Black, BUT there are things we have to think
about, like even if people introduce themselves it doesn't mean
that they'll be active or not, it would be just a condition to

Sorry, but i don't really see the point in trying to make more
       people introduce.
As for me, I have played TCO the first time about 3 years ago
and since then, i played throuh every major and most smaller
realeases (because this is definitly the most awesome
       WC3-Project ever)
BUT if i remember correctly, this is only my third post within
the forum and no, i haven't introduced myself.
       Reasons:
       - I mostly use this forum to keep myself updated on the
progress of the campaign and possible future developments. (Does
       not require posting)
       - Other reasons to enter the forum are to get help, if you are
stuck with some riddle or another problem. In this case the
search function usually delivers the proper answer. So again no
       reason to post.
Point is, only people who have the dedication to actually take a
bigger part in the creation of the campaign, are introducing und
       also better known.
For people who only want to ask a question in the
Help-Masterthread, an Introduction would be useless, if not
       spam.
So I think its better to leave it the way it is. If people are
here more often, they will eventually introduce and the others
will vanish as fast as they appeared :)
       mfg TTH
PS: The only way this would make sense, is if Aero is trying to
find out, how players find out about his campaign. For that
reason the introduction of people might be interesting, although
an HowDidYouFindTCO-Masterthread would serve this purpose much
       better

       Greetings,
So basically, in real life, that would mean something like this:
You meet up with somebody who you haven't known of, you meet
him/her for, say, 6 months, and THEN you decide to tell him/her
       your name.
Aww for goodness' sake, you're SO smart, brother! That's
       definitely how it should work!
And I just love it how all these kind of people come here to the
forums almost ONLY to say how great the campaign is (and to look
for help of course). Yeah, it is, but learn to say that in the
       PROPER place.
       [/quote]
Says someone who hasn't introduced himself plus have changed his
       name million of times.
But yeah, I could change the Introduce topic to the top of the
page to get more attention. That is what I can do, rest is up to
Xarwin who I believe won't do anything.

So will anything be done ? If no then I guess this topic is
going to fade into oblivion, just like many other threads.

Introduce moved to top of the forum already. However I still
       vote for Yes.
