I don't believe we properly met
By: Killa Date: March 29, 2012, 4:07 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Well, hello all. Even though I've been on this forum for a long
time, I have never introduced myself properly to you all. I
mostly work in the background as I talk directly to Aero about
most if not all my ideas to the campaign, I only occasionally
come out to the forums to say or maybe put something out there.
So, let me give you some facts about me!
Short Version: I live in NY, love games and love to help the
campaign. I've been here for over 2 years now working with Aero
on text corrections and I have high ambitions to do a lot more.
Facts
-I live in New York on Long Island
-I love games (who doesn't?)
-Baseball is my favorite sport (I'm not half bad at it either ;)
)
-I like helping people out
-I do various types of work in a couple different fields
-I am extremely experienced in putting things off until the last
minute (but we all are I think).
Just some basic facts about me up there but now I'll move away
from real life and talk about what I do for the campaign.
What I do
My main job is text corrections. Aero sends me a text
(usually consisting of a page or two of lines) and I correct it.
Simple job, but tedious work. This must have been going on for
the better of 2 years now. I first met or rather introduced
myself to Aero online after doing the questionnaire for him for
version 3.3a. That's about when I joined in on the fun.
Other things I do on the side
Besides text corrections, I help out by doing just
about a little bit of everything else. I do suggestions,
balancing (no, I don't balance of course, but I give suggestions
about balancing what and where), spell ideas (I've made quite a
few as I always suggest them to Aero), and bug reports, as
everyone else does on the forums here.
I also created a banner (I have one pathetic banner I made a
while ago on the site, lol), oh and I made a playthrough on
extreme and of course, helping people out wherever I can. Even
though I do all these things, it's not a huge amount, I just do
what I can when I can because I truly believe in this campaign.
Things I plan to do for the future for this project
What I plan next to do is a couple pretty nice things
that I think will overall help the campaign. Whenever I have a
chance to help, I'll do it, and mostly, it gets me into a lot of
different areas of helping the campaign which I like.
Things I plan to do are: making a walkthrough on
Extreme/Hardcore with videos and pictures and all that jazz to
be a really nice in-depth guide. This is last on my list though.
What I really plan to do next is the re-correction of all the
chapters thus far (1-7) since it really was my job in the first
place and I kind of failed somewhere along the way in not
correcting these mistakes for so long. Granted I did correct
these mistakes a while ago, but they got lost or were never
added, so I'm taking it upon myself to do it again. This will
definitely make the campaign and story much better I think.
After that will probably either come the trailer (which I have
mostly planned out, I just need to wait for 1.7 to be released
so I can get 1.7 footage) or the videos of the bosses being
taken down on hardcore. That will also lead in nicely for my
walkthrough so I do want to do that soon.
Besides that, I always try to find and look for more ways to
help the campaign, giving my ideas to Aero for items, spells,
gameplay, difficulty, text, and just about anything else that's
really possible to help with if I have the ability to do it.
Conclusion
Okay, well...that's me. I'm just like you guys, doing
whatever you can to help the campaign to make it better, and we
all had our fair share of helping and I think we still have a
ways to go but we're here to support Aero along the way. That's
what I believe and that's me.
Thanks for reading guys.

Hey Killa, nice to meet you ;)(officially of course)
You surely have done a lot to the campaign, and i really liked
your videos.
Again, i don't know why i am talking like you are the new guy
when you're here for a long time, i guess it's because of the
topic theme :P

Hum...a american. Is war3 popular in the USA? I don't know in
Eurobattle, but in Garena there aren't lots of people in most
places, the most (only) packed ones are Brazil and Russia i
think.
Yeah, who doesn't like games? Guys like, girls like, adults
like, "older" adults like, "a bit more older than the before"
adults like, childs like, babies like, dogs like, cats like
(Aero's cat liked, ask him ;D), and even kangaroos, if you know
someone who doesn't ... kill him/her/it (oh but please tell me
the name first)
Extremely experienced in putting things off until the last
minute uh...Can you really beat me [-) ?

Heya, Killa ;D . Great to see your "professional profile" !
We have people from all around the world in TCO, hm ?
Shino : Garena is full of crazy Brazilians (I was one of them.
Shameful past) !

Your profile is truly professional. I don't have anything such
as a list of things I have accomplished or so. But I have
actually done many things for the campaign yet they all stayed
in the darkness of the Twilight Zone...
If you think I am bluffing, ask Aero.
Anyways welcome to the forum.

After Storm is really mean :'(
I've never been to Eurobattle or others, just Garena, and there
aren't that many americans there (well, at least apparently)

Heeey killa
I always thought you like to be the "stranger".I knew only sever
facts from aero and I thought you help him in the early stages
and then ....blinked away.
And now that you're here , let me ask you a question. If you
worked hand to hand with aero for years(years , practically) why
did entered the forum so rare?

Hey guys, thanks for so many replies.
Yeah, I've always been actively working with Aero through MSN.
That's how we chat, since we have a 7 hour time difference
between each other, we only get to talk a few hours a day but we
definitely make the best of our time each day. That's where most
of my contribution comes from, even though most people don't see
it, I'm kinda like a shadow of the campaign. I've always been
working on it consistently throughout these 2 years I've been
with the TCO project, I never "blinked" away.
I never meant to be a shadow though, it just turned out that
way. I'm not shy at all though. Reasons being I don't talk in
the forum that much is that usually after talking to Aero a few
hours each day about TCO just wears me out about the topic. I
usually only check the forums after I've been talking about TCO
for a bit.
When that happens, I really have nothing else to say, nothing
else to question, or nothing else to contribute since I suggest
everything directly to the creator. The unfortunate side effect
is I don't get to talk as much on this forum.
Though, the only thing I don't do anymore is enter competitions.
I think I won a couple before and now I decide not to enter them
anymore because I want the community to come up with some ideas,
I only enter them sometimes indirectly (through messaging Aero).
I also think it'd be cheating to enter the competition for me
because I get a good base idea, then Aero and I discuss how to
balance it and make it better (usually through trial and error).
It's just better to get a wide variety of ideas from different
people, keeps the campaign fresh :). I also don't do them
anymore simply because I'm doing so much else right now, I don't
want to spread myself too thin, and usually, most of my ideas
are things that I already did before the competition even became
one. I don't want to sound arrogant when I say that though, it
just kinda comes out that way.
If you guys want, you can ask me anything else. Thanks.

Apparently you (Killa) and me are really similiar. I and Aero
have a 5 hours time gap, we only talk to each other in the chat
about few hours a day and I often suggest my ideas to Aero then
we discuss them together.
While you take care of grammar and stuffs I mainly help Aero
with coding because I'm also a coder, that's why I stayed
completely in the dark because not everyone understands codes.
Just want to let you know that so you won't think of me as a
liar/bluffer.

Of course I believe you, why wouldn't I? We have some great
supporters of the campaign. I have no understanding of coding
though, so I'm glad there's someone also similar to me that
understands that and can help Aero frequently. :D
