Full Moon and Weather

I still feel that weather should have a bigger impact on
landing--even given my latest modifier.
My main concern, though, is the full moon. It just seems like
the RAF usually avoided these nights (Peenemunde being the
obvious exception). I propose something like: if a mission
comes up during a full moon period, roll 1d6. If you roll a
3-6, there is no mission. Then, roll for number of nights
between missions (however you do it--I still use Glenn's chart).
Greg Smith has you roll 1d6 in Night Fighter Ace during any Full
moon turn and the mission is aborted if a 1 is rolled.
I use the back of the Gazetteer for dates and moon phases. I
also use this for starting a random mission.

Presently reading the Nachtjagd combat archives, the battle of
the ruhr (spring/summer 1943).
I am amazed that many missions were flown in full or good moon
conditions. Does not look like rigorous avoiding it at all (not
yet?)
That invariably led to high losses. Another factor were the
summer months.
It does not get really dark (the sky) in summer, so NF below
with black earth below invisible, but black shape of bmbr good
vis for NF.
When I start playing, I would use original data, moon and
missions from Middlebrooks BoCo diaries (see below).
I would suggest to look online for historical missions, (certain
squadron histories list them) and then check moon gazetter, or
maybe get this: (as mentioned, good but pricey, better as ebook
or something similar?)

Good free online source, plus use days between missions mod and
gazetteer...
