This is my silver arowana. I have had him for a little over a
month now and love him. I am looking for ideas for tank mates. I
have him in a custom 165, 54 wide 30 front to back and 24 water
depth. I have an opportunity to get a frontosa for free but
realize he would need some buddies. I also am waiting on a
teacup(reticulated) stingray for this tank. Looking for some
ideas from other monster fish keepers. Well I tried to load pic
but couldn't figure it out. I will post one when I can. Thanks

I did not build the tank but it is a custom tank. it is made
for 5/8 inch glass. This tank is an absolute bear of a tank. I
would say it weighs around 175-200 lbs. It was terrible getting
into my basement but WORTH it. I got it on craigslist for $100.
I did Build everything else for the tank using ideas from
'uraujoey' on Facebook. I did modify some of the designs in my
filter actually combined different videos into a different idea.
I have two 1 1/2 home made pvc overflows on it now. That
drains to a wet dry filter that I made with a Rubbermaid tote
and some smaller stack-able plastic bins. That's Pumped back
with a 700 gallon per hour pond pump. I also have a trickle
system to it so I am always doing water changes. The trickle
system is one of the best investments I have made. I feared the
large water changes required by a tank of this size would have
       been quite labor-some.
