       Thanks for your input Duck4cvr.
Are you using the spray bar on both canisters?
No problem talking about the SunSun, when I started this thread
I really wasn't sure where I was going. I liked the look of the
Odyssea brand filter compared to the white SunSun canister.
Really thinking seriously about spraying some plastic-dip to
help hide it's hospital white color.

Yes I'm using the spray bar on both canisters, but I'm only
using just one bar on each. I can take pictures, when I get
home, of how I set it up.
But for now I have a diagram in the this link of how I set it
       up.
  HTML http://1drv.ms/1GJefRu
(btw I made the diagram a long time
ago, not just for you lol)
Having two on my 55g eliminates the need for a wave maker in my
humble opinion and I get the benefits of redundant filtration.
There is a nice current, like I said the waste gets pushed to
the other side. Btw, there are dead zones for fish to rest,
also that's where the detritus tends to pile up. So it's a good
indicator of where i need to vacuum the most.
I'm not getting a lot of surface agitation, from the two
canisters, because of this setup. But I have a sponge filter in
the tank that I'm also cycling and that makes a lot of surface
agitation. Eventually, I'm thinking that I want to design and
build a small overhead sump with a few plants to help reduce
nitrates and aid with the gas exchange. And maybe buy some time
between water changes. Mini garden might be another plus!
