Adding new cichlids to a tank with only one

       Hello,
Looking for some guidance. I have a 40 gallon tank and
unfortunately I have not added additional fish in a while. I
have maintained the tank very regularly but am now down to only
one fish. I believe it is a Maingano and is about 4.5 inches.
I would like to add some new fish to the tank but know that this
type can be aggressive. Is there a particular type that I
should add? How many more should I add, and what size? Have
watched many of the Youtube vids from KGTropicals but just want
to be sure I do the best I can because this one has been with me
for a while. I posted a link below to an on-line photo.
       Thanks for any suggestions.

I would try adding 4 yellow labs or 4 rusties as they are really
       different colors.
