       Greetings from North Pole, Alaska

I have a small home so interested in smaller aquariums. I
started with Opaes and having great luck with them. They've
even had babies; three gallon tank. I accidently ended up with
a sally light foot crab. She came in on live rock. She is
absolutely adorable. I've named her Little Toot. I had to
remove her from the tank. She finally grew big enough to grab
my opaes and eat them. I wanted her to have enough room to
explore and play so got her a 20 gallon tank. I stocked with
it with snails and added a gorgeous peppermint shrimp. I was
told to add the cycle to my tank and put them in it and all
would be fine. It wasn't and what a nightmare. My shrimp
died. She was so awesome too. She and Little Toot would sit
together. Anyhow I watched the youtube video on cycling my tank
by KGtropicals. I also used all recommendations from the store
on what to purchase. I hope I get set up right so I won't have
       anymore tragedies.

From Alaska, that's great. Welcome to the forums Kdsealyon!
Is Little toot going to be the only one in the 20 gallon?

No, I'm going to get some more peppermint shrimp. Any advice
will be appreciated. I bought a protein skimmer, a filter
through KGT along with a water testing kit. I was using the
little strips. What else do I need please?
