Hi just a line to say watching all the different videos on
youtube from many different people and reading some books on
cichlid keeping i have collected some great and priceless info
on setting up my tank and looking after my fish, that said i
cant find anywhere a guide to what fish would be recomended to
set up with, im going for an all male show tank with haps and
pecocks in a 100 gallon tank and would love recomendations on
which species to start with, i have a couple of ideas on fish i
want but a list of say 20 or 30 fish that would 1, look stunning
and 2, get on with each other would be fantastic, you could also
do a video on mbunas that go together or a members top 20 haps,
peacocks and mbuna have a vote then do a video of the top 20 for
each, it would be a massive help for newbies to the hobby like
       myself...Thanks...

This is really all about chance. You can buy a fish that is
really known to normally be over aggressive or under aggressive
and they can turn out to be the complete opposite personality
wise. I would still suggest to research for fish that are
mostly considered mildly aggressive or peaceful. It also helps
if you get your fish young enough that they all grow up together
rather then adding fully adult fish that may not normally get a
       long.
Most people start with Mbuna's because they show color right
away. Peacocks and Haps take time to show colors. Most people
say Mbuna's are more aggressive so you should start with
Peacocks and haps but that don't mean you can't add them in
later if you do start with Mbuna's.
Your best off picking out a fish you really want and then
picking other fish that have a different look from it. Always
remember to check to see how big it will get. Some Haps get
huge so this is important to remember to check.
