       I know I need more filtration in my tank. I have a 55 gallon
       tank with 10 Mbunas in it. I have a Penn Plax Cascade 700 and a
       DIY sponge filter. I am thinking of getting a Fluval U4
       underwater filter. Does anyone know if that is a good filter or
       would an over-the-back filter be better.

       I have 2 u-4's in my 55 gallon tank and they do an excellant
       job. I keep the discharge on the spray bar setting but you can
       experiment with yours. I clean them once a month and do one a
       week after the other so the good bacteria stay plentiful. Some
       people don't care for the looks but the fish love them. I have
       16 mbunas in the tank.
