almost a month late but finally an intro

My name is Shane and I live in UT. I got my first tank a little
over 2 years ago. My wife said that we should get one so we went
down to the local pet store and got a 14 gallon starter kit.
went home set it up and 2 weeks later went back for fish. My
wife saw a yellow lab and said "I want that one." So we got
cichlids. We were told the "1 in per gallon roll" and got the
lab a pleco an oscar and a convict. I know now that those don't
go together. the oscar died a week later so I got a snow white.
The pleco didn't last long ether. I ended up with the lab, snow
white, convict, and a cobalt blue in the 14 gallon tank. They
have out grown that tank and I just set up a 55 about 2 months
ago and add 3 more mbunas. I'm trying to sell the convict. I
took the 14 gallon over to my parents and set it up as a
community tank. I want to get a 20 gallon community tank to put
in my son's room but its not in the budget yet. My wife thinks
I'm crazy but it was her idea to get the fish. I am having a lot
of fun with them. Thanks for the info on my other posts.
       Shane

Welcome to the forum. I have a 55 gallon with 16 mbuna's. Good
to see your adding slowly. I made the mistake of adding to quick
and lost a few over the first 2 months. I haven't lost one for 6
       months now :)

I just got 4 new fish in my Mbuna tank, I got a Bluebarry, a
Yellow Top Mbamba, and 2 Auratus. I now have 10 fish in there
       and it is looking awesome.
