Do you find as your fish enter teenage land they get more
aggressive? I lost a chichlid last night. There was no warning,
they were all fine in the am and when we fed them before bed he
was on his side beat to hell. No prior weakness or illness that
we noticed. I do have a mix of haps, peacocks and mbuna but they
were raised together and size appropriate. I know its probably
par for the course with these guys but its still sad to see...

I started up my tank last Labor day and have 16 mbuna in a 55
gallon that were all small when I got them. All winter I kept
the tank at 76 degrees. About 2 weeks ago I decided to raise the
temperature to about 80 for the Spring and Summer and maybe get
some breeding. After about a week the fighting started and I
could hear the collisions 10 feet away. The tank is back to 75
degrees and is much less crazy. I haven't lost a fish, I think I
       want peace more then babies.
