Water Pump Recommendation

I am currently looking for a very small water pump for a DIY
canister filter for a rather small tank for a friend. (1.5G For
reference) I found a guy who built something similar to what i
have in mind, and the pump actually pumps through what seems
like airtube. I was looking at a TOM AW-20 Aqua lifter, but for
20$ it seems steep if i can find what i am looking for.
Basically i need a submersible pump, that can pump water from
the canister back into the tank, through airtube sized line.
Much like seen here

/>Any points in the right direction would be super appreciated.
And yes, i googled well into 2 hours trying to find something.

Welcome to the forums Kalypso.
Interesting question you pose here.
If you wanted to go the DC route, there are a few really small
submersible pumps. (I'm a little bit computer geek, hence this
idea)
This one has a 6mm output (airline tubing size). You'd have to
connect it to a power supply however, any 12 volt supply would
probably be fine.

Here's a cheap submersible pump with an adjustable flow control,
which may be more to your liking.

Personally, in such a small container, I'd use an ATI Hydro
Sponge Mini. Usually run around $6-7.
Hope that helps a bit, let us know how it goes.
