TALL AND FIN ROT

My family has suffered 2 casualty's to tall and fin rot we treet
the fish with top notch "medicine"

Need a lot more information. How big is the tank, how many and
what kind of fish, Have you tested for ammonia, nitrite and
nitrates. Temperature, ph , how often do you do water changes,
etc.

water changes once a week...ammonia .25-0 close to 0...I HAD a
kerbenskis with 2 yellow labs...in a 20 gallon with 40 gallon
filter...temp is 78-80... and I do not test ph

I add about a tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons and
never had any fin rot or ich. You can also use salt for icecream
makers. I also change 10 percent of my water every 2 days.

i did add salt but i did not do the 10% water change every day
