Is a PH of 7.8 OK for a Mbuna tank?

My first post on this forum! Love John and his podcast and
       videos.
It's still a long way off, but I'm planning a 75 gallon Mbuna
tank. My tap water comes out at a PH of 7.8 and has a high KH
so it stays there rock steady. I know that is on the low side
of the acceptable range for African Cichlids. My questions is,
would you still try to buffer it up to the 8 - 8.2 range? Or
would it be better to just call it good and consider myself
lucky that my water is naturally almost perfect for African
       Cichlids?

perfect, the less you have to mess with it the more stable your
tank chemistry will be and healthier fish

I agree, mine is at that level and every one is happy and
       healthy.
