Placidochromis Milomo (Super VC10)

Hello everyone!
I recently came across a Placidochromis milomo, and I'm debating
adding him to my African Cichlid Family! 8) But I would like
some more information about these fish before I make the
decision and who better to ask then you guys! :D
Anyone had any experience with the Super VC10's? How is their
temperament? How fast do they grow (I've read they can grow up
to 11"!). What would you consider the minimum tank size for one?
Etc. :)
Also, how much would you consider a fair price for a 6" male?
(As that is the one that I have my eye on. Spotted him on
craigslist).

yeah they get pretty big. mine grows soo slow i dont know about
anyone else. i would recommend at least a 6 foot tank. Mine dont
seem aggressive at all. A 6 inch male is pretty big already,
most i would pay is $50 for a 6 incher.

I looked around and saw a couple of different prices, Jon sells
3.5 40 bucks. All the other places range for 34.99 to 50
dollars. Just depends what the size is, I wouldn't pay more the
50 bucks like mrk. The problem about buying a fish that size is
that you don't know how long it has lived.

Oh great! Thank you so much for your input! I'm happy to hear
that they are not overly aggressive. :) How many do you keep
Super VC10's do you have? :) What kind of male/female ratio do
you recommend if keeping multiples?

That is a really good point! I will look into seeing if the
owner knows the age of the fish. Thank you for your research on
the prices! :D

No problem, reason I say because at my LFS be people like to
bring the fish that are getting to big for the tank or are
A-holes to get store credit. They could of had the fish for 5+
years.
