If you are thinking of getting a fluval G6, my opinion is the
get a fluval FX6 in can filter up to 400gal. They are about the
same price and you can more filtration. The flow rate is very
well and if you point one outtake up and one down, you can get a
awesome flow rate and it can break the surface for oxygenating
the water. That is my thought, when I bought mine it was the
best investment I could get for my 120gal.

What tank size? stocking? If overstocked, I would only use a g6
on a tank as much as 100 gallons and thats pushing it.

Use the FX6 on a 75 or higher any lower the water might be to
strong. I am sure there are some people that did but I wouldn't
