       is it possible for just one fish to get ick? i noticed that it
       looked like one of my fish was getting some white spots but
       couldnt really tell because of his color so treated the tank
       anyways. well that fish is the only one that showed any symptoms
       and is now dead. and the other fish look okay its been 4 days am
       i good now?

       It sure is.
       Fish, like people, have different abilities to withstand stress
       in their environment.
       Sounds like the fish you lost was more so on the delicate side.
       However, treating the entire tank was a smart move.  Keep your
       eyes on your remaining stock, ick can sometimes disappear and
       return in a matter of days.

       thanks i beefed up my heater i realized that it was not doing
       the job and here lately the tank was staying around 78 even on
       full blast got a new and water stays at 84 constatly and the
       fish seem happier and more active.  8)

       Now that its cold weather, my heater is set at 78, in the summer
       my tank runs 80 and the fish are fine
