What ar in your opinions in fish foods in general? What brands
are decent and what are crap in your opinions. I don't want to
go brand bashing since everyone has their opinions. These are
the brands that I want to hear you guys opinion when it comes to
       feeding African Cichlids on.
       1) Southern Delight
       2) Hikari
       3) Tetra
       4) JBL
       5) Sera
       6) Xtreme
       7) NLS
Could you please share your experiences with these foods?
       Thanks.

I have been using New Life Spectrum for my African Cichlids for
almost a year and they appear healthy, look beautiful, and seem
to enjoy the food. Haven't had any issues with NLS thus far, so
       I'm happy with it! ;D ;D

ive tried all those except the southern delight and sera. My
best experience was feeding NLS ultra red. The reds and blues
were best on ultra red. The Xtreme kept the water the cleanest
bescause it seemed like it didnt break up into smaller pieces.
For some reason, I feel my fish grew faster on xtreme also. That
said, my show tank gets NLS ultra red and my growouts get
       Xtreme.

I feed my Africans exclusively NLS. I rotate between the
cichlid formula, thera A, and ultra red. This combination
produces good color. I have also heard good things about
northfin and extreme but these foods are not readily available
and NLS has been a steady consistent company producing quality
       food for years.

Of those, the only one I have used is Hikari and it is top
notch. I also want to try NLS and Omega One when my other food
       runs out.

I normally feed my mbuna Cobalt algae wafers and flakes. In the
morning I give them a few Omega one sinking cichlid pellets
       because the are still young

My cichlids love NLS, its a great product, not overly high on
protein and spirulina is one of the first ingredients. For a
treat i would shell peas and feed them to my mbunas twice a
week, they devoured the peas (but rather messy and hard not have
some of them sucked into the filtration).
