54 Gallon Corner Tank
By: lost_nation Date: October 15, 2014, 2:50 pm

I'm working on uploading the pictures for my 54 corner. I was
considering adding some fish.
Current Livestock:
-6 Electric Yellow Labs
-6 Rusties
-4 Mozambique Elongatus
Filtration
-fluval 306 canister filter
-DIY overhead sump filter, 150 g.p.h. flow (thanks Joey)
This started as a yellow lab and demasoni tank, until my
demasoni went all thunderdome. I re-stocked this tank relying
heavily on internet advice and a good amount of input from John
himself. This tank has been running well for a couple months
now, most of the fish are approaching the 3" size range. I left
myself a little wiggle room with stocking numbers, I wanted to
see how the group of fish got along. I've been considering
adding a couple more fish to this aquarium, something with some
red in it, or perhaps a non-mbuna like a pair of German Reds or
Taiwan Reefs. Seems like this forum would be the perfect place
to solicit some opinions.
Thanks,
Josh C

I have a 55 gallon 4 foot tank and have similar fish stock and
added 3 Socolofi and they get along well and chase each other
and don't bother the others much

Slightly off topic .... but have you got a powerhead or a wave
maker or such to ensure you are getting good current around your
tank. I have a 50 odd gallon corner tank too and until I
installed my wave maker there were a lot of dead zones were the
water was not moving at all.

What did you finally end up adding to your setup?
