Been a few days...

It's been a few days since my last post so it's time to get you
all caught up.
We have been scrambling over the last couple of weeks on our
secret project and unfortunately I missed both the QandA podcast
and video last week. I'm sorry about that. I put the priority on
"Tank Talk" and if I have to miss something it will be the
QandA. Having said that I am considering a format change. Even
though both the Tank Talks and QandAs do well individually I'm
considering combining the two into one. I can cover a topic and
answer a question all in one episode. I'd like to know how the
community feels about that. I'm only considering this because of
the time it takes to do it all, 2 podcasts and a minimum of 2
videos, it might not seem like it but there's A TON of work
involved in putting together 4 major pieces of contact each
week. Along with running KGTropicals, raising 5 kids and blah
blah it can get crazy.
Now to the next topic. I was cruising through my site this
morning and ran into something in the chat room that disturbed
me. A gentleman was in there commenting on how he removed
himself from this forum because he didn't like how I "made Pat
Lindsey beg for you to give me money". This was total bull crap
folks. The fund raiser that Pat put together on this forum was
something he did completely on his own and I had nothing to do
with it. I honestly didn't even know about it until he had
posted it on some of my videos. I thought he was just going to
go very deep talking about me and Lisa and didn't want me to see
what he wrote, I had no idea he was putting together a fund
raiser.
Having said all of that, I want it noted that I was VERY moved
by the things Pat said and things he did. It's not to often you
run into people who are willing to sacrifice their own time to
try and help someone else. It meant allot to me that he thought
of doing that for us and to whoever donated (I still have no
clue) I also thank you from the bottom of my heart! I certainly
don't do what I do so that I can get that kind of attention but
I'd be lying if I told you I didn't like it :P :P

if that gentleman thinks crap like that and wants to leave the
forum then no one can do anything >:(
We will root for you john and all the good work of making videos
and setting up forum all only to help us :D

John ..you can't worry your self to death trying to please
everyone! If the content that your putting out there for the
hobby is pleasing to the masses great ! But if one person gets
offend by another persons generosity well SO WHAT ! Lol ..I
think what Pat did was awesome and amazing and very sweet. There
is always gonna be someone out there that will try their best to
tear others down..just look the other way and know that those
poor souls well just need some help lol..John I think you are
doing an amazing Job ! Keep up the great work! And keep talking
fish because I love it ! And everyone else does to :-)

I mean after all you inspired me to learn all I can about
african cichlids and I did and now I am loving it ! Your shows
have given me the tools and the know how to give my cichlids the
best care and I took your advise about how to get a larger tank
on a budget and now I have a beautiful 160 gallon tank that is
thriving and I say THANK YOU SO MUCH ! I love what you do keep
doing it and always look forward and you will take this hoppy to
levels unknown! I am so thankful for all of your input on this
hobby :)

hey john there will always be haters and TROLLS they have
nothing better to to than try to bring people down.that said i
was moved by what paul said he is a really good guy. the forum
is a great place to go and throw things out about the hobby and
get good feed back with out the backlash from people over a
stupid or dumb or common sense question. keep upp the good work.
as for the podcast do what you can we love all the content you
put out. 8)

Like everyone has been saying you can't please everyone, I have
learned so much and helped me enjoy African Cichlids as a pet if
he can see that oh well. When I first started I knew nothing
about these fish, I am a person that hates reading so your
videos taught me a lot. Look forward to your videos every week,
if you have to cut back it is going to suck for else but we will
get over it LOL. Its life man, so Thanks again!
