Feeding Invertebrates to big New World Cichlids?

Does anyone routinely feed crickets, grasshoppers, cockroaches,
earthworms / night crawlers etc... to their big Central and
South American Cichlids? I am always a bit wary of feeding any
creepy crawlies in fear that they may have picked up traces of
pesticides from somewhere. It would probably take quite an
accumulation to actually harm the fish but is it worth the risk.
Does anyone raise their own invertebrates as feeders for their
fish?

In my home there are many cockroaches and I don't let anyone put
insecticide to kill cockroach since I always search for them and
feed them to my fishes :D But in my experience in comparison
fishes who feed on these little animals tend to be more
agressive
And I am currently raising earthworm to feed fishes , it's super
easy And I love the sight when my babies fight over single worm
when I put a whole earthworm in my tank ;D
