       Reticulated stingray food

       I'm looking for suggestions on food for this stingray.  I've had
       him a few days and so far hes not liked anything I put in the
       tank for him.  I've tried bloodworms, ghost shrimp, beefheart,
       carnivore pellets.  I've heard they can be stressed and not for
       up to a week but I really don't like this Idea.  Water is a 78
       degrees. no ammonia. no nitrites, and 15 ppm nitrates.  Any
       suggestions would be great.  There is to much info online and
       would like to here from someone that has had a stingray.

       usually due to stress they don't eat food like you have heard
       All the fishes are like that they need time to know their
       environment
       I have new alligator garr bought about 4 days ago he is doing
       the same and I have always experienced this when I put my new
       fish in the tank for the first time
       So I don't think it's a matter to be worried about but if it
       doesn't eat even after a week then you should think about it

       You might try giving him more dark time (turn the light on for
       less). Go out and get some actual fish fillet, and try shredding
       it into bits that it can eat. Freeze what you don't need to use
       right away by chopping it into little steaks. Pull em out as you
       need them. For the sting ray I'd tray cutting the thawed bits
       into cubes, then take something to smash them flat. This will
       turn it into something like thin flakes that should be easy for
       the mouth to pick up. Try putting this in when the lights are
       not on so it feels safer and more comfortable eating.

       If you're looking for a fool proof food for your Ray find a
       store near you that sells Live Black Worms. If you're not
       familiar with them they are tiny little thin worms that are
       almost a delicacy for Ray AND they provide ALL of the nutrition
       a young Ray needs. The only problem with Black WOrms is there is
       work involved in taking care of them AND they can be hard to
       find but if there's a store near you that has them grab some.
       The Ray will gobble them up I promise :) :)
       Other then that I also use to feed fresh fish from the grocery
       store like thecrazyfishlady suggested AND I've fed frozen shimp
       (thawed of coarse) but I found they younger Rays wont take to
       these as well as adults. Start him on Black works and once he
       get's a little bigger move to the fish or shrimp ::) I hope that
       helps.
