A Crown for A Queen

Not sure where else to go after her conversation with Altara,
Floriana wandered aimlessly towards the King's room.
She wasn't going to intrude on Altara's conversation with her
father, but...she didn't know where to go. Part of her felt like
she'd done the right thing by telling Altara the truth, but the
rest of her just felt lost. She wasn't going to be able to stay
here after something like this, was she? But she'd have no
welcome with Malkos and his supporters after this, and if he was
going to try and kill the princess, did she even want that?
She needed a drink, but she couldn't let herself get drunk while
things were moving this fast. She just slumped in the hallway,
sniffling and wiping at her eyes.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid..."

committed to being in a thoroughly bad mood." Floriana said,
trying to project her usual attitude but having trouble
conjuring it.

"Why?" Floriana leaned back a little, looking Elixis in the eye.
"I know you're an upright sort, but I wouldn't have thought my
mood was of much interest to a man as busy as you."
