frowned. She'd actually frozen for a moment when she saw him,
but she didn't understand why.

"I don't, either, princess, but...if Malkos is behaving
strangely, there is likely an important reason for it." Claudia
meant to be even-handed in saying so, but she found as the words
escaped a knot of distrust twisted in her. She had thought she
was going to suggest giving Malkos the benefit of the doubt, but
instinct made her suspicious for reasons she couldn't put her
finger on.
"Princess?" Tilda poked her head in again. "Y-You have other
visitors..."
