Breaking Tradition

Altara was in the hallway, walking toward the chamber room.
She had an odd feeling in her chest as she walked
[I] "I feel...like this has happened before.....and terrible

"Tilda, are you here?"

Tilda herself was feeling a little strange. Removed as she'd
been from understanding what was going on in the past cycles,
things had been going long enough that she had a sense of
foreboding about tomorrow she couldn't explain.
She jerked to attention and hurried over when she heard the
princess call, not wanting to seem lost in thought.
"Yes, Princess! What can I do for you?"

"Of course, Princess." Tilda said, curtseying and hurrying off
to search for Claudia.
She thought she felt something odd in the air as she walked off,
but she didn't–couldn't–notice Floriana, cloaked in an
invisibility spell, quietly enter Altara's room and watch her.
What am I doing? The court mage thought, biting her lip.
Something had compelled her to stay clear-headed this morning,
and now she was hovering around Altara, keeping out of sight but
watching her. Logic told her she should be staying away from all
of this, but she couldn't seem to bring herself to do so.

Altara shivered, feeling as if she was being watched.
"I.." as she froze, looking at the entrance

"G-General Malkos" Altara squeaked in surprise, a shiver down
her spine. "I did not expect you today!"
Malkos nodded "Princess, I come with worrying news. I fear you
will receive odd instruction from soldiers today. I'm not sure
what the plan is, but I advise you do not follow them"

Wait–is someone onto him? No, that wouldn't make sense, he'd
