Elixis walked down the hall troubled. The king had passed but
things were hushed. It was like a conspiracy was going on under
his nose but he couldnt see it.
"What is happening in our fair castle..."

Armani felt like he should be pursuing the princess, but the way
she'd fled from him told him he would be doing little good right
now chasing after her. Still, the mood of the castle wasn't lost
on him either, and he looked for Elixis; maybe this time around
he could be believed when he confided what he knew!
"Elixis!"

Armani nodded, leading Elixis into a private room and closing
the door behind them.
"Elixis, the princess–the queen–is in danger," he said without
preamble when they were alone.

"I was hoping you might tell me. I think there's more people
against us at this point than for us. It doesn't look good,"
Armani admitted.
"We need some way to head this off before it turns into chaos
inside the castle, but I think the princess knows something's
wrong. If the people plotting against her realize that I don't
know what they're going to do."
