Elixis walked down the staircase, pale as a ghost.
The king had just passed and he couldnt do anything about this
despite his position
"I...I have to tell the princess" he muttered to himself.

Armani had considered going after the princess after their odd
bump, but it seemed unwise to him. Deciding to stick to his
original plan, he sought out Elixis, paling when he saw the
priest's expression despite knowing the cause already.
"Elixis!"

No time to think more on that. Armani looked at Elixis.
"Elixis, you know protocols better than anyone. If we believe
there's a threat to the royal family after the passing of the
king, what do we do?"

"...I'm not sure. But I think someone's planning something for
when the king dies, and I don't like it. Some of the other
knights are up to something, I'm sure of it." Armani said,
frowning.

"That's the thing. I haven't been able to figure out what
they're doing, or get any of them alone to get some proof. I
just know something's off." Armani said.
"If they are up to something, they seem to be on the alert for
anyone looking at it too closely. Grieger's been shirking his
duties more than usual, but he goes off with the same group of
nights almost every night for a while now, and they talk in the
tavern, quiet enough the keeper doesn't know what about. And
Arvic's acting strange but he won't talk to me about it." Armani
looked at Elixis.
"I...I don't like it, but if it is something dangerous, what
should I do?"
