"I mean, I'm surprised you're not green with how you smell. Have
you been bathing" Olivia frowned.

"It's not my fault nobody lets me in the public baths," Lacrima
whined, looking rather hurt at Olivia's comment. "And it's not a
bad smell! Grave dirt grows nice flowers."

"No one lets you in? Are you a menace or something?" Olivia
blinked in surprise.

"I am not! I'm an amazing witch, but you don't hafta be scared.
I'm a friend of justice!" Lacrima said, crossing her arms
self-importantly.
This pronouncement and Lacrima's grandiose attitude both seemed
a little odd coming from a scrawny, bedraggled, and undeniably
funny-looking and dirty girl some six years Olivia's junior.

"....Witch......Right" Olivia sighed.
"Look, its dangerous to spread lies"

"I'm not a liar! I've never told a lie in my life!" Lacrima
said, squirming around once again in displeasure at Olivia's
tone.

"Look, its clear you need some help. If you return what you
stole, I'll get you a good meal and a bath. Deal?" Olivia
sighed, attempting to bargain.

"But I didn't steal anything! Look!" Lacrima protested,
spreading her thin arms. It did seem unlikely she could hide
anything substantial in the smudged wreck of a dress she was
wearing under the threadbare cloak.

Olivia blinked in surprise
"If you didnt steal then....."
As Olivia remembered "Valdal"
"What did you do with them?!"

"...It was an accident..." Lacrima mumbled, suddenly looking at
the ground worriedly as the silk merchant walked up, waving
sheets of soiled silks.
"Thank you for catching her, miss knight! Look at what the
little hellion did! These were fine silks, and she befouled them
all! They're ruined! I can't sell these!"
