Faint Echoes

Claudia couldn't put her finger on it, but she awoke feeling
restless, and the troubled feeling did not disperse as she went
about her day.
She couldn't understand why. She felt anxiety about the health
of the king and how the princess was holding up in the face of
his impending death, of course, but this was something
else...she had a vague and inexplicable feeling something was
wrong.
Never one to sit still when she had a bad feeling, Claudia went
for a walk around the castle, looking around. Either she would
find whatever it was her intuition was noticing, she told
herself, or a walk would clear away what was more likely the
echo of a bad but mostly-forgotten dream.

Not far off as Olivia, just finishing sword practice. She wiped
the sweat off her brow as she muttered to herself "Not bad...but
I need to get better..."

her fellow knight.
"I'm surprised to find you practicing so early!"

"I guess that's why you're one of the most skilled knights
here."
