       Volume on normal keyboard not working when tabletpro is running?

       Hi - only a week into using windows after 20 years of using mac
       so could be a simple solution?
       When tablet pro is running (artist pad, haven't tried others
       yet) the volume keys (f1, f2, f3) do not work. all other F keys
       seem to work eg brightness. As soon as I disable tabletpro they
       work again.
       I've had a look through settings but can't seem to find a
       setting that would do this purposely?
       Is this a bug? Anyone know a fix? Or is it normal - - as i am
       new to windows I don't have the experience or logic to suss it
       out - is there anyone who can shed some light on this?
