What buttons should be included in the default artist pad layout
?

I am wanting to find out what buttons should be included in the
default artist pad. I know what I personally use and I still
change my artist pad setup about 3 times a week.
My vote is for
Ctrl
Alt
Shift
undo
redo
B, V, I, M, Z, (At very least 6 single key options)
UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT
Enter
???????

I think that what you have there is good, for Photoshop I need
step back.
however I honestly think the idea itself needs tweaking.
in settings for artist pad it would be good to be able to choose
which software.
in manga studio 5 undo is great in Photoshop I need step back in
light room I want 1 to 5.
I assume it would be fairly simple to get say the top 10 apps
and there most common shortcuts and then do that.
the buttons I need are so different depending on the app.
I don't use it now because of that and the size.
I assume people can build there own but I think the top ten
would set it up great.
and actually the ability to switch without going into settings
would make sense.

Don't apologize, great feedback!
Your suggestions definitely give me some stuff to think through
that I haven't thought of before. I'll be making some new videos
soon that should include some tutorials on how to setup multiple
artist pad layouts and quickly switch between them.
You really got me thinking on the quick layout change options
idea.

I agree... I use both Manga Studio and Sketchbook Pro...
A layout for both would be great.

If you make a good one for either program send it to me! I can
only do a beginners guess in some of these programs and having
someone seasoned who can share a layout is really helpful!

I'd say to keep it minimal, because chances are most if not all
artists are going to make their own changes, or would prefer to
start from scratch.
I can't remember the name of it now... but there was one artpad
program out there that relied on users diving into notepad and
making changes to lines of "code" in order to build up different
menus. That's completely ass-backward. The focus should be
entirely on the ease of creating menus, rather than providing
people with the perfect button arrangements for every piece of
software they're likely to use. As we all know, every artist
works differently anyway, so let them create their own stuff
with as little hassle as possible.
What's that saying again? "you can lead a bull to water but you
can't make it drink". Seems pretty on point.
