Restricting the viewing of some forums acccording to rank?

Hi all,
I have made a board where newbies on my forum can post their
questions without getting in the way of the other forum
business.
I want only admin, moderators and newbies to be able to post in
it so I have gone to membergroups - edit membergroups - show
boards and then unticked the box for the section for all groups
that I don't want to give access to, such as junior members and
full members. I thought that would mean that they can't access
the board but they are still able to post in it.
How do I stop them from viewing and posting in the board?

Go to Boards>Modify Boards>Uncheck the "Regular Members" box and
check only the boxes of the groups you want to be able to see
that board.
