New Threads and Polls Always Show 12 Views

Hello, I have noticed that whenever I start a NEW thread or
poll, the counter for how many times the thread or poll has been
read always shows that "12" persons have already viewed it. Is
this a setting in the control panel that I can change or is it
an error of the system?

I didn't even know "times viewed" was an option for a Poll. I
don't see it myself.

This count happens to be four, BUT, I just mere fractions of
seconds before had posted the test and this is what the counter
shows. No way 4 people viewed it in that instant.

Interesting, I appear to have the same problem.

It won`t go past 12 no matter how many times I read/view the
topic.
I`m new to these forums (more experienced on phpBB), but on some
forums `View` and `Read` as in `Read Count` mean different
things, depending on your settings, permissions, etc.
There`ll be a simple explanation - usually is! Just finding it!!
Therein lies the problem!
If I manage to work it out, I`ll come back...
Edit: Typical - having just clicked on the link myself the count
went up to 13. ???
Bit like the time I called the plumber cos I had a leaky tap,
and when the plumber arrived the tap had stopped leaking!

I'm not having any issues with mine. They seem to be working
properly as it should. Some threads are into the 200-300 views
while others a little less than that.
Maybe it's a glitch in the most recent update? If there was one
that is.

BTW: I notice that it also indicates 3 guests are also viewing
the topic. Again, how is this possible when I just posted it? I
mean, literally, just posted it. Is it possible that the number
it is indicating is somehow counting persons who may have
actually simply been on the site at the moment I posted but
obviously had not enough time to click on the new thread? ???

Well the guests are probably from search engines/advertising
bots as soon as they see a new topic or if you browse the topic
they pick it up.
