       Allow selected members only?

       I'd like my new forum to only allow people to join who have been
       given a specific password beforehand, common to all prospective
       members. They'd set their own username, but have to input the
       password they'd been given to allow access. Can this be done? if
       not, how can I restrict membership to specific people?

       You can choose registration by admin approval which means you
       would have to manually approve everyone that registers.
       Or you can disable registrations and create accounts for them
       manually.
