       Did you have the recycle bin featured enabled? Found under Admin
       -> Boards -> Settings
       Recycle bin
       IF so you can restore the thread from the recycled bin forum.

       why is there no option for ALL boards. I selected one by one and
       saved but it seems only one board can have this facility enabled

       It works differently, You need to create a new board as your
       recycle bin. Then just select that board as your recycle bin.
