Use AI to monitor forum rules

       ---------------------------------------------------------
I recently upgraded the rules of my forum. When I announced
this, one of my users joked I should use AI to monitor the
rules. Intrigued, I asked co-pilot if this could be done . It
       said
       🏉 Short answer
Yes, AI can monitor rule‑breaking — but it should assist
       human moderators, not replace them.
🧠 What AI can do well on a rugby fan forum
AI moderation tools are strong at spotting:
       Abusive language (insults, slurs, harassment)
       Spam (bots, ads, link‑dumping)
       Duplicate posts
       Obvious trolling patterns
       Personal attacks between users
       NSFW content
       Doxxing attempts (posting personal info)
       Hate speech
       Threats or incitement
These are rule‑breaking behaviours that AI can flag with
       high accuracy.
⚠️ What AI should NOT do alone
       AI still struggles with:
Sarcasm (“Oh brilliant, another tactical masterclass from the
       ref…”)
Banter vs abuse (rugby fans love sharp humour)
       Context (e.g., heated match threads)
       Club‑specific slang
Nuanced disagreements about players, coaches, or officiating
Sensitive topics (injuries, mental health, politics)
This is why AI should flag content, not auto‑punish users.
co-pilot gave me a technical way to do this, but I wondered if
it would make sense to provide a "standard" AI monitoring tool
for forums to manage the rule breaking that AI is good at? So
something that could just email/message the forum Admin if any
post looks like it's breaking the rules (the standard ones).

Would be hard to do, AI can do it but would be hard to scale,
       and expensive.

I would suggest to use cloudeflare workers to fend off some
malicious bots. Even the free tier has abilities to pick the
malicious ones and block them while keeping the good ones as is.
