Dear Admin team,
I am writing to you as I am extremely concerned that my board,
previously hosted with your previous service IPB free

has become
completely inaccessible without any obvious notice.
Please could you respond ASAP as this is quite an urgent matter
as the forum provides a service for university students at a
certain university to chat and get to know eachother before
moving in.

IPBfree has ceased to exist from what I heard. I think it is
some kind of legal issue. And they are not able to release any
data or information.

I think they had to many Copyright infringement notices from
others hosting illeagal content that they were shut down,, but
what i cannot understand is why they were told to be hush hush
about it? Unless it is so severe that the FBI is involved but i
highly doubt that.

I doubt it. There would be no reason not to say anything unless
it was some kind of license violation/court order. They took
down everything their twitter and facebook too!

Yeah Im gonna go with it was very severe, most likely it was
what i mentioned above and IP board came after them with a
infringement notice or something along thoses lines because I
dont think that IP board would allow them to give people boards
with out there permission. Oh well they should have gone with
SMF for free ;D So now that is 2 forum hosts to go in a week or
so! :)
