Stop ejecting my users out of the thread every time they post in
it

I don't know who designed this forum so that people get ejected
back to the main page every time they make any post, but please:
I implore you to find a better way.
It would be so much better if users were directed to a refreshed
version of the same page of the same forum they just posted in,
instead of getting kicked all the way back to the front page of
the forum.
I've had multiple users in the forum I've just created complain
about this, and I'm gonna complain as well because their
complaints are valid. it is obnoxious making a post in the
thread, only to have to click back into the thread just to post
again.
Yes, I see you can click to the most recent page, but again, it
would be better if posting simply redirected to the most recent
page in the thread, like so many other forum websites do.
If this is something I can fix, lmk; otherwise, please fix this.

Its a setting you enable/disable. It should be enabled by
default that way.
Both of those Settings are contained under Admin -> Layout
Settings -> Member Options
You need to set both the default options and member options
link.
