       Unwanted Changes - Very Frustrated

       For many months I have been trying to learn and understand how
       to customize my boards.  Previously, I spent years developing a
       forums website, spending a great deal of time customizing it to
       match my other official websites for this statewide project I've
       been developing.  Then, new owners came in and completely wiped
       out all of my work.  That was Tap-a-Talk.  I dumped them, and
       found my way here.  So far I've been satisfied, yet hesitant to
       put too much time into the development process because of past
       experiences.
       Today, I paid for my third forum website to be ad-free.
       Also, I just tried a couple different holiday styles after
       saving my current developed style.  When I tried to come back to
       my original saved style, certain customization's did not change
       back to my saved style.  Now, I have to go back in and redo some
       customization that I had already established.  I really do not
       have time to waste going back and repeating my work.
       Will there ever be a time where I can completely save different
       styles to use different times of the year?!  And, not have to go
       in and repeat certain edits?!
       Understanding all the different ways of customization takes a
       great deal of time and effort.

       Something I have spent a great deal of time is trying to figure
       out [glow=yellow,2,300]how to change the color of the home page
       list of forums[/glow]... And, [glow=yellow,2,300]the color of
       the font of the user posting a topic[/glow].

       For styles you have option to export them I believe or you can
       copy the css to a text file to save.
       There are really three parts to each style:
       CSS - which is main layout.
       Customize Images -> Images are global for all styles and
       separate from css
       Headers/footers -> Again this is global for all styles and
       separate from css
       The font of the poster is controlled by this css selector code
       .poster h4, .poster h4 a
       You can find out what codes go were with firebug on firefor or
       browser inspector on chrome
