Where to paste my Google verification code?

I'm trying to create a Google sitemap for my forum and i'm
having trouble verifying my domain
I've been given the code
''google-site-verification=YT5YoTVfiPXWjbGZjSjE1Tp51gAOrjMkphK8q4xiBsg''
and i assume i have to submit it into the Header and Footers
boxes in Style Manager but i am not sure.

Is this the right place to be putting the code and is the way
i'm doing it is correct? I'm confused so any advice would
greatly be appreciated. :)

Thanks, I've been putting <meta name="google-site-verification"
content="YT5YoTVfiPXWjbGZjSjE1Tp51gAOrjMkphK8q4xiBsg''/> in the
metatag box but it still doesn't seem to be verifying. Am i
doing it wrong?

Sorry, i forgot about this question. I still haven't been able
to submit the google verification code

Unfortunately when i go to verify it on Google console it still
comes up as ''Ownership verification failed''
