We have just added Gopher support to Create A Forum
What is Gopher you ask? Wiki
  HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gopher_(protocol)
Gopher is a communications protocol for retrieving information
such as documents from IP networks.
It is an exciting technology used by thousands of people world
       wide!
In my opinion, Gopher is what google wants AMP to be but is 20
years ahead of it’s time. It makes the perfect alternative,
providing fast browsing without any advertising/javascripts to
slow you down! Think of the SEO value.
Below is a recorded demo of Gopher in actionwith createaforum,
but you can also check out in real-time using your own Gopher
       Client

There are a few areas I want to clean up bbc code, support
attachments/images,full text copy of post or html, and search
inside forums/topics but this is a start!
And as a bonus we also submitted to the Gopher search engine to
       get more sites indexed!

       ● Gopher Server — Feature Update Summary
A round of improvements landed today on the Create A Forum
       gopher service (gopher://gopher.createaforum.com). Here's what's
       new for visitors:
       New on the front page
       - Popular Forums — the front page now lists the top 10 most
       active forums by post count
       - New Forums — a second section highlights the 10 most
recently created communities, with their creation dates
       - These lists are refreshed every 5 minutes, so the home menu
finally feels alive instead of just being a static category
       index
       New navigation features
       - User profile pages — every post now has a clickable "By: "
entry that opens a paginated list of that user's recent posts
within the same forum. Reach it directly at
       /user/<forum>/<username> if you know the
       address.
       - Search pagination — search results were previously capped at
15 with no way to see more. You can now page through every
match, 10 per page, with Previous Page / Next Page links. Total
       match count is shown
       up top.
       Better posts & menus
       - Page N of M indicator added to every paginated view
(directory listings, board topic lists, topic post views, search
       results, user profile views)
       - Quote blocks now render as > -prefixed lines with a clear
"Quote from: name" header and "End Quote" footer
       - Code blocks are preserved with a --- Code --- / --- End Code
--- frame and two-space indentation per line
       - Lists —
[li] items render as bullet lines instead of leaving raw BBCode
       markers
       - More BBC tags handled: strikethrough, subscript,
superscript, monospace, preformatted, font, email links (now
show mailto:), inline URLs, embedded YouTube links, horizontal
       rules, and explicit line breaks
       - Image tags rendered correctly — the old [img] parsing was
broken for any tag with dimensions, now fixed
       - Links with longer TLDs — URLs in posts using .info, .museum,
.website, .photography, etc. are now detected and rendered as
clickable links (previously only 2–3 character TLDs worked)
       Better text layout
       - Word-wrap is word-aware — long text lines no longer chop in
the middle of a word or split a multi-byte character. Output
reads more naturally in every client.
       - Protocol compliance polish — menu lines now use proper CRLF
line endings throughout, the caps.txt response is cleanly
terminated, and info lines follow standard conventions. The
       result: better rendering in
classic clients like Lynx and pedantic terminal gopher
       browsers.
       Pagination fixes
       - Previous Page link now appears as soon as you're past page 1
(previously it only showed from page 3 onward)
       - Next Page calculation uses proper page-count math, so the
last page no longer offers a Next link to nowhere
