so the tag doesnt work in the posts to click, but they still
get a notification, is this right ?

It should work in post in most cases you can't mention yourself
I think not sure on notifications

ok thats fine, so long as i know then i can explain to members,
hopefully it won't scare them off :) i'v made a button for
their notification page so they have to stick with that.
If they want to complain i'll send them here ha ha !! jk ;) :)
I'm talking to a whole bunch of people from a site like mine
atm, and they should be all coming to join, so i want to be
prepared.

i got this working, it was the permissions for members set wrong
to 'not mention'
Just in case anyone wants to know.
