Hello, how can the anti spam be disabled

Hello, recently, I've been having many complaints that members
who are supposed to register in my forum are finding it
difficult to register because of the anti spam, so I've come to
make a choice to disable the anti spam, because the verification
method is so complicated to some guest, whenever i change the
the verification method to simple plain text it doesn't save so
I want to disable the anti spam thoroughly, so please help.

I turn it off and saved the settings but it got on, so I've been
trying to set it off, I probably need your help on this, what
should I do next, since it ain't going off?

On registration there will always be captcha that can't be
removed.

is there anyway I can change it to a simple one for guest to be
able to register easily
