I switched the email address to Gmail in the profile, and I
receive the notification. However, we still don't receive
anything to alohafreight.com. Our spam filter quarantines
anything it detects as spam, and it's not there. I called
support for Spam filter hosting, and they said they don't see
any emails coming from createaforum.com.
Is there any troubleshooting that can be done over there to see
if any notifications have been sent to alohafreight.com? Sorry
for the trouble...we just really want to use the forum and paid
to remove the ads.

That was it. I set SPF check to quarantine instead of block, and
now I can see the messages. We just did a test thread, and the
notification came through 3 hours later. Does it normally take
that long? Thanks for the help.

Should be instant in most cases or at most 10 to 15 minutes.

All the test replies today have been instant, so it's good now.
Not sure what happened yesterday.
One last question on notifications - is it possible to turn
Notify on by default for a board? Any user with permission to
the board would have notifications on by default for it.
Thank you.

Not by default on a board level.
You can do replies via admin -> layout settings -> member
options -> "Turn notification on when you post or reply to a
topic."

Is there an easy way to turn notifications on for all users that
go to their profile page rather than email? Would be great to
get notifications for quoted posts, likes etc

Not sure I understand to change to current members visit
admin -> layout settings -> member options -> click current
members then configure settings
Do the same if you want for new members

I am looking for the option to enable "Notify me
of replies" by default instead of needing users to select it at
each post. I guess many would not notice that
requirement.
I saw the above instruction which says:admin ->
layout settings -> member options -> click current members then
configure settings
However, when I go to Admin, I don't see the same
options.
On the Admin drop down I see:
Features and Options : Boards : MemberGroups :
Core Features : Style Manager : Permissions
On the Main sidebar (right), I see Configuration
and Members options, that might be relevant.
I see 'Layout Settings' under Configuration, but
can't find "Notify me of replies" in that.
I can't see it in the "Members" section
either.
Has anything changed, or am I looking in the wrong
area.
Thanks
I see this forum does not have "Notify me of
replies" set by default either.
